Wood makes up approximately 85% of an acoustic piano. Over the last several years, we had the opportunity to produce lumber that went into Yamaha pianos. Hard Maple logs were handpicked all over the country and brought to our mill. After we sawed the logs into lumber, the lumber was exported to Japan where it was taken to the Yamaha piano factory.

Most bowling pins are crafted from hard maple, a dense and durable hardwood ideal for withstanding the impact of strikes and rolls. Over the years, we’ve proudly supplied the lumber used in the production of these pins.

In our mill, we have six main steps to make a hardwood log into a piece of lumber. These steps include:
